Tropical Storm Alex
Tropical storm Alex formed in the west Caribbean Saturday, forecasters saying it was unclear if it would hit the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Tropical Storm Alex in Caribbean Current
Hurricane hunter aircraft data states that a tropical depression has formed from the strong Caribbean tropical wave that slowly gained strength this week. Tropical Storm Alex formed over the western Caribbean Saturday with sustained winds of 40mph. The current path of the storm has it heading towards Belize over the Yucitan Peninsula. Hurricane paths are hard to predict, but if Alex hits the coast of Louisiana and the central Gulf shore, it’s possible that the storm may force oil towards Florida.
